I think it is extremely important to train the body as a whole.  We move on a day-to-day basis in a functional pattern, and therefore need to do the same when experiencing a fitness routine.  I believe fitness training to be a preventative measure of healthcare.  As research shows, many chronic diseases can be avoided, or their symptoms lessened, by engaging in a fitness routine, not to mention, it makes you feel good!  Exercising needs to be fun, and programs individualized to fit the goals of each person; in essence, there really is something for everyone.  Through my dance and fitness training, I have gained an appreciation for the way the human body moves, and believe it should be challenged and enjoyed for all that it is.

Personal Interests and Hobbies: Distance swimming, triathlon training, modern and contemporary dance, biking, mountain biking, weight lifting, good music, good friends, going to the beach, enjoying life, pushing my body to its limits!
