Where do I go to sign up?

To sign up, come to the membership office, Room 140 in the Southwest Recreation Center. You can find more sign up at our How do I sign up? Page.

How long will it be until I am contacted by my trainer?

After you sign up, you will complete an assessment at the Personal Training and Assessment Center at Student Recreation and Fitness Center. After the assessment, it will be about 5 business days before your trainer will contact you.

How do I get paired with a trainer?

Once you complete the paper work and the assessment, we will process your request, and pair you with a trainer that is a good match for you. Try to provide detailed information about your goals, exercise history, and interests to we can find a good match!

How do I request a trainer?

On the sign up forms, there is a place where you can enter the trainers name that you would like to request. Check out our Meet the Trainers page to learn more about our trainers.

Are the sessions one on one?

Yes

How many days a week will I work out with my trainer?

You and your trainer will develop a weekly plan for days and times to meet, and it will vary depending on your needs and goals. They may write you workouts to do on your own, or suggest classes to attend on the days you are not meeting.

What times do the trainers train?

Trainers train at various times throughout the day and on weekends! You and your trainers will find a time to meet that is convenient for both your schedules.

Where will I meet with my trainer?

Our trainers train all over campus! Depending on your workouts, your program, and your interests, your trainer will arrange to train at various locations. Some examples are Southwest, Student Rec, the track, Florida pool, outdoors, you name it!
