Lake Wauburg
About eight miles south of campus on 441 (SW 13th Street), are two private parks at Lake Wauburg. FREE to students, faculty, staff and spouses with a valid Gator 1 Card. Card holders are also permitted to bring four guests, which makes Lake Wauburg a great place to take family and friends. RTS provides free bus service every Saturday from campus to the lake.
- Lake Wauburg North Park is beautifully landscaped with 25 acres of shaded, grassy picnic areas, picnic tables and grills. Canoes, kayaks, sailboats, paddleboats and rowboats are available to be checked out for free with a valid Gator 1 Card. Other fun activities located at the North Park are sand volleyball, sailing and swimming.
- Lake Wauburg South Shore is located one mile south of the North Park. Mountain bike and nature trails surround the park. The park also has a 55-foot climbing wall, an 18-hole disc golf course, multipurpose fields and sand volleyball courts. For group team-building events, the South Shore features a high ropes/low initiatives course.
