Sneak Peek of this Weekend's Sport Clubs Events

While the football team is playing away this weekend and you are looking for things to do to unwind from studying, RecSports has a busy schedule ahead!

Women’s Volleyball Sport Club is hosting the UF Swamp Classic at Southwest Recreation Center, on Saturday, October 13, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

While you are at Southwest Recreation Center, make sure to cheer on your Handball Sport Club! The club is hosting its Swampland Handball Tournament on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Florida Pool will also have its share of action this weekend! Men’s Water Polo Sport Club is playing in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) regional tournament on Saturday, October 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sunday, October 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you happen to be in the Orlando area, stop by the Orlando RDV Sportsplex and watch the UF Ice Hockey Sport Club play against Tennessee. Games nights are on October 12 and 13, at 10:15 p.m.

Other local RecSports events going on this weekend include:

• Swamp Bowl Flag Football Tournament, starting on Friday, October 12, at 7:30 p.m., and throughout the weekend. Teams from all over the Southeast region will battle it out to win the regional championship title! Last year, over 45 teams competed in this tournament.
• RecSports Adventure Race is taking place on Saturday, October 13, at Lake Wauburg South Shore. (Please note that registration for this event is closed.)
