I
believe that something most people forget about exercise is itâ??s supposed to be
fun. My goal when training is to make sure itâ??s something in the day to look
forward to. With all of the different ways to exercise, everyone can find
something that they enjoy.
On
a more technical note, I think itâ??s important to keep the focus of training on
the entire body, even when training specific muscle groups. There are very few
things in life that require strength of a certain muscle without also involving
many other parts of the body. Since most movements in life donâ??t involve
isolating muscles, it just doesnâ??t make sense to train with a focus on
isolation.
Personal
Interests and Hobbies:
I played
football and hockey in high-school and continue to play hockey for UF. I also
thoroughly enjoy anything relating to math, science, or philosophy. I enjoy
anything physically challenging (rock climbing in particular) and I recently
discovered caving which I canâ??t wait to do again. I also have a particular
attraction to science fiction, any kind of new technology, and of course video
games.
