Philosophy on Exercise:
Exercise is important for many reasons such as muscular strength and
endurance, cardiovascular fitness, weight control, stress relief, performance
enhancement, and prevention of future diseases and health problems. When I
think of training, balance comes to mind. Balance in muscles, in your diet, and
in your schedule.
When muscles are out of balance, dysfunctional movements can occur
and may cause limitations, pain, or injury. It is also possible for muscles to
be overworked, which can also be a cause of injury. The muscles of the body are built to work
together to move and stabilize. It is important to understand this relationship
and learn how to get your muscles working properly.
A balanced diet is just as important as exercise and plays large
role in keeping the body working correctly and feeling good.
Balancing work, school, exercise, and a social life can be
challenging, but finding the right balance can reduce stress and increase your
chance of getting and maintaining results.
To help my clients reach their goals and get results, I offer
personalized guidance and support in these areas.
Get moving, and keep moving!
Personal Interests and Hobbies: I was a dancer
for fifteen years, which I did until I began college. Now I enjoy running,
biking, snowboarding, swimming, football, and frisbee. I also like reading,
music, and being outdoors. I am a massage therapist, which has given me an even
greater understanding of the human body. I plan to continue to learn and grow
in the field of wellness and health.
