Sailing

Sailing is one of Lake Wauburg's most popular activities. Sunfish, Laser, Hobie Cat, and Pekoe boats are available. Members of the sail club can sign out a 420.
In order to sign out a sail boat you must have a sail card and a valid Gator 1 Card.
How to get a Sail Card:
-
- Take a Swim Test. You must take the test at Lake Wauburg, the Florida Pool, or the O'Connell Center. Make sure you tell a lifeguard that you are there for a swim test. It consists of a 200 yd. nonstop swim with no time limit followed by 5 minutes of treading water. Make sure you take your signed waiver to Lake Wauburg.
