2009 Freshmen Flag Football Tournament
The 7th Annual Freshmen Flag Football Tournament will be held on Friday July 24th through Sunday July 26th!
1. Registration begins Tuesday, June 30, 2009 and ends Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 5pm. Registration will take place at SWRC Rm 120. Men's, Women's, and Co-Rec divisions will be offered. See the special tournament guidelines below.
2. Attend the captain's meeting: Wednesday, July 22nd at 7 p.m. in SWRC Rm 120. Please do not be late!
3. Brackets will be posted shortly thereafter.
Special Tournament Guidelines
1. The Freshmen Flag Football Tournament is designed to promote flag football at the University of Florida and to help acclimate incoming freshmen to the sport.
2. All teams must have a minimum of TWO (2) incoming freshman on the field at all times. A free agent list is posted on the bulletin boards outside SWRC Rm 120.
3. The tournament will be set in a single elimination format.
Flag Football Clinic: Learn How to Play!
Come out to Maguire Field on Tuesday July 21st at 7pm to learn all about flag football.

Rules Clinic
Come learn about the rules of flag football. Topics to be discussed include the basic rules of the game, common penalties and how to avoid them, and co-rec rules differences.
Strategy Clinic
Past intramural champions will present various topics including offensive plays, defensive tactics, and co-rec strategy. The strategy clinic is a great way to get a leg up on the competition.
Scrimmage Games
Apply what you have learned in the Rules Clinic and the Strategy Clinic. The scrimmage games are a great way for freshmen to find teams and for teams to scout freshmen. Each team will be coached by a former intramural flag football champion. Be sure to bring your UFID to be eligible to play.
