Description:Gives individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care for breathing, cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses, including how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. This class includes CPR/AED and First Aid Components for adults and children. Certification is current for 2 years.

Description: The American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers course is designed to teach the adult, child and infant skills of CPR, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and relief of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) for participants in the healthcare profession. THIS CLASS DOES NOT INCLUDE FIRST AID. Certification is current for 2 years. This is the prerequisite course needed in order to acquire the BLS for Healthcare Providers Instructor certification.

Description:The purpose of the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program is to teach people how to be safe in, on or around water and to teach individuals of different ages and abilities how to swim. The Water Safety Instructor course will train instructor candidates to teach water safety, including the Basic Water Rescue course, six levels of the Learn-to-Swim program as well as Parent and Child Aquatics. Certification is current for 2 years. This course is designed for individuals who want to pursue a job as a swimming instructor. Course Length: 30 hours; 30 minutes. Participants MUST attend all class dates.
