Aquatics

Welcome to the Aquatics program!
UF Recreational Sports Aquatics offers recreational swimming at 2 campus locations. The Florida Pool is an outdoor facility located behind the Student Recreation & Fitness Center. During the winter months, this heated pool provides an opportunity for year-round swimming. In addition to recreational swimming, this pool provides practice space for many of our Sport Clubs, such as Synchronized Swimming and Underwater Hockey. Home to the Men's and Women's UF swim teams, the O'Connell Center Pool is an indoor facility located between Gates 2 and 3 on the lower level of the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
An aquatic lift is available at both pools for swimmers who may need additional assistance entering and leaving the pools.
Patrons must present a valid student, faculty, staff, or spouse Gator 1 Card to enter the pools.
A Guest Pass may be obtained from Room 200 in the Student Recreation and Fitness Center during regular business hours. Please call (352) 273-2409 for more information.
The Early Morning 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Rec Swim at Florida Pool will be cancelled based on calculations that take into consideration: air temperature, wind chill temperature, wind speed, and water temperature. Please check the Florida Pool or Pool Hours locations for cancellation information when air temperatures are predicted to drop below 45 degrees.
