Where:
Lake Wauburg South Shore (approximately 8 miles South of campus on 441)
Events:
Mountain Biking 6 miles*
Trail
Running 3.6 miles*
Canoeing 2-4 miles*
Rock Climbing (optional)
Special Tests
*The exact distances and order of
events will not be disclosed until a time closer to the race day. The
special tests are designed to test your ability to work as a team and will be
placed randomly throughout the course. You will only find out what the special
test is when you reach each one during the course. Instructions will be
given at the site of each special test. The optional rock climbing
segment will be held after the timed portion of the race has been
completed. Each team will be given the opportunity to subtract from their
finishing time by successfully climbing pre-designated routes. The amount
of time subtracted will depend on the difficulty of the route. This will
not be a speed climb. An athletic trainer will be on hand to offer assistance.
Mandatory
Equipment: Mountain Bike and Helmet
This is a non-supported race. Therefore, each team is responsible for
their own hydration, food, and equipment during the race.
You will have access to the transition area throughout the event. Canoes,
Personal Flotation Devices, paddles, and climbing equipment will be
provided. You may NOT use your own canoe or climbing equipment (other
than climbing shoes - shoes will not be provided)
