Adult Swimming Instruction
The Department Recreational Sports will be offering free swimming instructions during the Fall 2009 semester at the O'Connell Center Pool. These classes are for students, faculty, staff, or spouse/partners with a valid Gator-1 ID card. There are no swimming lessons for children at this time.
Classes will focus on two areas of swim instruction:
Adult Learn to Swim for non swimmers and beginning swimmers who want to learn the basic stroke movements.
Adult Stroke Clinic for learning additional strokes or refining your strokes.

O'Connell Center Pool:Adult Learn to Swim 7:00- 7:30pm or 7:30-8:00pm or 8:00- 8:30pm
Adult Stroke Clinic 8:30pm - 9:00pm
**Last day for Adult Swim Instruction for the Fall Semester is Monday December 7.
Classes may be cancelled due to Special Events and Holidays. Please check the O'Connell Center Pool Schedule Changes list in the Pool Hours section.
Registration
E-mail aquatics@recsports.ufl.edu, EACH WEEK TO REGISTER FOR ONE CLASS, with the subject line titled Swimming Instruction. The earliest you can sign up for a class is ONE WEEK BEFORE and all emails must be received by 12pm the day before the class. Please include desired time, date, and lesson title. You will receive a confirmation e-mail the following morning. Space is limited to 8 people per class so please e-mail early. Due to the large number of participant requests, please choose one class per week and take the next week for practice before e-mailing again.
