Philosophy on Exercise: Itâ??s
not fitness, itâ??s life!
What are you doing today for your personal
well-being? In todayâ??s world this
question is constantly asked. It seems
that our fast-paced and technology-driven society has made it difficult to
achieve health and fitness goals; however, to keep up this pace and live well
when you get older it is imperative to take time out of your busy schedule for
your well-being. Since the beginning of
time man has been physical. Our bodies
are meant to be active, not sedentary sitting behind a computer or steering
wheel. Decreasing levels of physical
activity and increasing levels of stress are contributing to current overweight
and obesity problems. Many scientific
studies suggest that it is not uncommon for Americans to spend half of their
waking hours sitting! I stress the point
that itâ??s never too late to get started.
Signing up for personal training is a positive step in the right
direction. It is important to remember
that choosing fitness is a lifestyle choice that will affect many decisions you
make every day. Each of us must make the time and look to the future and focus
less on the now. To live well in the
future we must focus on fitness today!
