Adam
Major: History
Certification: I will be ACE (American
Council on Exercise) certified, and will be getting certified in CSCS when I
graduate in Fall 2009. I plan to start massage therapy school in spring 2010 in
Gainesville.
Philosophy:
As your trainer, my goal is to help you achieve a
healthy lifestyle that enables you to obtain your personal physical goals with
confidence and ease. I believe strongly that personal empowerment is critical
to life-long success; and I am committed to providing you with the tools and
encouragement needed to not only accomplish, but also maintain the results
you're looking for. As I work with my clients, I constantly review and revise
your individualized program to keep the interest level and energy on track to
obtain your desired fitness level. Keep in mind that I will challenge and push
you towards success, always with a variety of techniques; as, I am a strong believer
that there is more than one way to train a muscle. Your body is ultimately in
your complete control; my aim is to equip you to form it to your liking.
Personal Interests and Hobbies:
From as early as the age of four, I began playing organized sports;
I am 22 and I never stopped playing sports. I focused primarily on football and
baseball, and got a baseball scholarship to play at Rollins University. I also
played soccer, basketball, and my all time favorite intramural sport - Dodge
Ball. During my athletic career I have worked with many different coaches about
the best ways to interact with teammates and clients alike. As a catcher for
years and a rehab bullpen catcher during the Braves summer training, I
recognized that the best way to motivate someone is whatever means gets them to
accomplish the goal. Failure is only a fact when you give up. Everyone
gets knocked down, the question is: Will you get back up?
