3-Point Contest Rules

Each player must present a UF Gator 1 Card before each contest to be eligible to participate. No exceptions

All participants are responsible for their own medical expenses. Any student unsure of their physical condition should check with their family physician or the Student Infirmary before participating in intramural sports.

  1. All participants must sign the "release, hold harmless, and conduct agreement" prior to the event.
  2. The order of participation is determined by the order in which each person has signed in.
  3. Participants will be limited to one attempt.
  4. Five (5) balls will be shot from each of the five designated positions on the three point arc. The first four (4) balls of each rack will be worth one (1) point while the fifth ball ("The Money Ball") of each rack will be worth two (2) points.
  5. Each participant has 60 seconds to shoot all 25 balls.
  6. Both feet of the shooter must be behind the 3-point line in order for the shot to count.
  7. The Intramural Graduate Assistant in charge will make all necessary decisions regarding the event.
  8. Final scores will be posted outside SWRC, Room 116 by noon the next business day. Champions will be determined by the highest point total in each division (Menâ??s and Womenâ??s). Ties will be broken by the number of shots made. If a tie is still in effect, multiple champions will be recognized.
